Jennifer Takhar, received her DEA/M.phil in Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne in September 1998. The subject of her dissertation was women and history in the works of Rushdie and Mistry. She completed her M. A. in 1997, also at the Sorbonne. Her current research includes a project on Tahar Ben Jelloun. In 1998-99 she taught English language at Creteil University,Val de Marne, in Paris.
