Yeah! They say love is blind.
RUTH:
Until marriage opens your eyes...
DAISY:
Interesting.
RUTH:
Can you imagine what goes on in people's minds as they lie there? (Pause.)
DAISY:
Yes! We think we have and know the men even as they lie beside us. But the true confidante is really the pillow. Can you imagine how many secrets we tuck in pillows...bank in pillows..impose on pillows? And I tell you, it doesn't matter whether we're male or female. It's mutual. Pillows are the real heroes...
RUTH:
NO, SHEROES!
DAISY:
You're right; Pillows are the true sheroes of love (pause). Think of how many tears and reservoirs of thoughts crossing our minds are invested in pillows!
RUTH:
There's so much work out there for psychoanalysis. Perhaps, my next subject of inquiry should be on the soul power of pillows...or simply, pillow power!
DAISY:
And bed power too!
