Masjid Al-Amin, 2001 The roof structures of Masjid Al-Amin were inspired by the sloping roofs of Minangkabau buildings in Sumatra. A member of the mosque management board was inspired by the call of 'Amin' which pilgrims make while on the Haj (pilgrimage), and suggested this as a name for the mosque. He then recollected that Prophet Muhammad was also known as 'Al-Amin', which means trustworthy. |
