Other events celebrated at mosques include Maulud Nabi (Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad) and Muharam (the start of the Islamic calendar). The highlight of these events is usually a lecture on the theme of the event, after which food is shared amongst the congregation.

Exhibition is on at the Asian Civilisations Museum till 31 December 2002.
