Associate Professor Ban Kah Choon, a Singaporean, heads the Department of English Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore, from which he holds a BA and a PhD. He has co-coauthored books on the reading of English Literature and the imaginative constructions of the Singaporean cultural experience.
His main rsesearch interests includeS the colonial representations and expressions of ideology as well as in psychoanalytic readings of texts (particularly Lacanian and Kleinian).
