C.M. Woon's full name is Walter Cheong Ming Woon.
A professor at the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore, a politician, and a diplomat, Woon holds degrees from Singapore as well as Cambridge. He has published widely on commercial and corporation law. The Advocate's Devil (2002), the story of a young lawyer in 1930s Singapore, is his first foray into fiction.
