Leong Liew Geok

Leong Liew Geok is an Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature, National University of Singapore. The author of Love is Not Enough (1991), a collection of sixty-eight poems, she edited More than Half the Sky: Creative Writings by Thirty Singaporean Women (1998), an anthology of drama, fiction and poetry, as well as the late Ee Tiang Hong's monograph, Responsibility and Commitment: The Poetry of Edwin Thumboo (1997). She is preparing a second collection of poems, Women without Men, for publication in 1999. She hopes to have a series of essays on the Literature of the Pacific War in Malaysia and Singapore completed and published in the next few years. She is married and has three children.
