Kartik and Andal, Sri Veerama Kaliamman Temple, Serangoon, side facing parking lot (right side of the building, when facng main entrance). Kartik (also known as Murugan and Subrahmaniam) is the son of Parvati and Shiva. On the right stands Andal (c. 800), a Tamil poet-saint and devotee.
